Blog #4 and Reading Responseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I am starting and finishing my filming this weekend, I will start tomorrow (friday) and will be finished by sunday night which is when the event ends.  I know a lot of people who are involved in the event that my movie is on and I hope I can get some good footage. I am very exited to get the footage and start on the editing for my film and create the trailer. I might run into some problems because I'm working by my self but I wont worry about that and see what happens!
I learned about how to do a good interview in this reading. They say to not read of of a page, write something down for if you need it but try to just talk to the person because it will be more natural and will make for a better interview.

Blog post #3

I was on vacation during pitches so Ms. Alex said that I could make my pitch next week. I told her my idea and I think that it'll work. The event is coming up soon so I will have to do some planning in the next week and go get a camera. I hope it works out!

This reading taught me that it is good to have more than one persons view in a documentary, there is at least 2 sides of every story. I already knew this but it told us that we should be interested in our topic and we should show what we had originally wanted to learn. I learned that research is key and I think because my documentary has to be filmed in the next few weeks, I really need to get to that research part of the process.

Blog #2 Reading Response ref

I plan to do my documentary by myself because I have a topic that I want to do. Also I think it will be easier so I can edit with out planning with a lot of people. There is no conflict in my topic. At least not yet. I know a lot of people that I can get interviews from and I think it will be a interesting documentary.

I thought this article was interesting. It told us about how movies are more to tell a story from a producers view, not necessarily true. Documentaries are always true, if its not then it is a "mockumentary". It mentioned that "based on a true story" is not really always that true, its a looser version so there can be a more creative aspect to the video. Thats what I think was the message of this reading.
